Ireland/ Argentina Working Holiday Agreement 2014
The Working Holiday Agreement (WHA) Programme is an agreement
between the Irish and Argentine Governments which allows up to 100
young Argentine people (aged between 18 and 30) annually to take
extended holidays in Ireland for up to a year, and to take
employment as an incidental aspect of this stay. The aim of the
scheme is to introduce young Argentines to the people, culture and
landscape of Ireland and to allow them to work and study English or
Irish there. Participants will have one year from date of issue of
the authorisation to enter Ireland. A similar scheme operates from
Ireland to Argentina.
The WHA programme for 2014 will open for applications on the
19th March 2014. Only application posted, or sent by
registered post/courier, after 19th March will be

To apply for a place on the 2014 programme, applicants must send a
completed and signed application form, accompanied by
photocopies of the following documents: a valid Argentine
passport; a curriculum vitae; qualifications obtained or, if
still studying or awaiting exam results, a letter from your
education institution; a police certificate of good conduct; and
a bank statement.
We will be in email contact with all applicants as soon as possible
to let them know if they have been successful in receiving a
possible offer of a Working Holiday authorisation. Those who are
successful will be advised of the next steps including the payment
of the fee of $650 which must only be paid following approval of
the application by the Embassy. The process for the next stage of
the application is outlined in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

NOTE: No fee should be paid until the application has been
accepted as complete by the Embassy.
